Terms & Conditions
These serve as the terms and conditions when booking a trip with us, and form a binding agreement between ‘The Lila Series’ and the ‘Traveler’. By initiating a booking with us, you hereby confirm that you agree to these terms and conditions, including the cancellation policy.
The Lila Series will not provide:
Medical or travel insurance - each attendee must arrange for their own
Any fees attached to attractions
Covid tests
Any delay caused by accidents or traffic on airport drop-off day will not be covered by The Lila Series. If traffic or an accident causes a guest to miss their flight, they are responsible for their own flight arrangements.
Deposit/Transfer
A non-refundable deposit must be received within the time specified at the time of booking in order to confirm your booking and avoid automatic cancellation. If you are unable to attend for whatever reason, you may transfer the trip to a family member or friend.
Cancellation Charges
Please note that deposits and subsequent payments are non-refundable. In the event of a travel ban due to COVID-19 or any other unforeseen circumstances, trip dates will be rescheduled to a later date. No refunds will be issued. Any unease with regards to travel or quarantine upon return will not be considered. All payments are final and non-refundable.
EXCEPTIONS: Should you test positive for COVID-19 prior to the trip, The Lila Series will grant a credit towards a later trip and funds will not be lost. (no refunds issued).
Final Payment
Final payments are due 30 days prior to the trip. Any cancellation made 30 days or more prior to the trip is subject to an additional 25% penalty that will be charged to your card.
Any cancellation made 29 days or less prior to the trip is subject to full payment of the trip fee.
Travel documents
Proof of citizenship, passports, visas, tourist cards, health recommendations, inoculations (where required), and compliance with customs regulations are your responsibility. The Lila Series shall not be responsible if boarding or entry is denied or delayed or if cancellation charges are imposed or additional costs incurred as a result of the failure to provide required travel documents. All information should be confirmed directly with the appropriate government consulate or tourist office in advance of departure. If a birth certificate is being used, please make sure it is an original or certified copy with a raised seal, and bring an additional government-issued picture I.D. (such as a driver’s license).
Activities
You are not obligated to participate in activities. By participating in any activity during the vacation, you do so at your own risk. You must exercise all necessary care and caution, having regard to the nature of the activity, the terrain, location, climate, co-participants and other circumstances.
Limitation of Liability, Release & Indemnity
By accepting these terms and conditions, Clients agree not to sue The Lila Series and forever release The Lila Series from any and all liability for economic loss and physical or mental injury, direct or indirect, arising in connection with a Program, except where such loss, injury or damage is caused by reckless or fraudulent conduct on the part of The Lila Series or its employees, guides, shareholders, officers or directors. The Lila Series disclaims all responsibility and liability for the action or non-action of any hotel, excursion operator independent contractor or any unrelated third party (each an “Independent Contractor”). The services provided by Independent Contractors are subject to the laws of the place where the services are provided, and any supplemental conditions imposed by the Independent Contractor. Both parties shall be released from their respective obligations in the event of national emergency, war, terrorism, riot, Act of God, civil commotion, malicious damage, flood, storm, fire, adverse weather, failure of utility services or transport network, default of any supplier or subcontractor, industrial dispute or strike, or any other act, omission, event or accident beyond the control of Provider or the Client.
Personal property
Under no circumstances may dangerous articles such as controlled substances, firearms, explosives and cylinders containing compressed air or combustible substances be contained in any baggage or brought into any of the accommodation provided by The Lila Series.
Itinerary or program changes
The Lila Series reserves the right to withdraw or modify tours, itineraries, programs, activities or facilities at any time without notice and without liability. During local or national holidays, certain facilities such as museums, sightseeing tours or shopping may be limited. In the event of force majeure, including but not limited to strikes, lockouts, riots, weather conditions, technical difficulties or for any other reason whatsoever, The Lila Series may at any time and without prior notice, cancel, advance, postpone or deviate from any vacation package and shall not be obliged for any loss whatsoever to you by reason of such cancellation, advancement, postponement, deviation or substitution.
Refusal of travel
You may be asked to leave a resort or deplane at any time without refund if you are (i) unfit for travel (ii) a risk or danger to yourself or (iii) a disturbance or danger to others. In such event, you shall not be entitled to any refund, and you shall be responsible for all lodging, meals, return transportation or other expenses incurred.
