SEMA: A Journey into Rumi & the Whirling Dervishes

For this episode, the team set off on a journey to Turkey in the Fall of 2022 to immerse ourselves into the mystical Sufi tradition of The Whirling Dervishes.

We traveled to several cities throughout Turkey, met with and interviewed spiritual masters, young dervishes and artists who are sharing this beautiful practice with the world. We learned about the historical roots of the tradition, the symbolism of the Sema ceremony and the life & teachings of the poet Rumi.
